Country Heat– It all started with a DVD set
A little intro and history about myself before we dive into the Country Heat review. I am 31 years old and I have carried and birthed four children. So naturally, that takes a toll on the body and its ability to “bounce back.” After my last baby, the weight didn’t just fall off as it had with my previous pregnancies.
Before a couple of years ago, I never worked out. I always ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted and my body didn’t put on too much weight. It’s always been hard for me to stick to a workout plan or eating plan and commit. This time was different. I had purchased the Country Heat program several years ago when it was only available on DVD.
Well, I never even opened it! After trying several other workout programs and groups, I decided to give it a try. So I dug out the DVD set and got started. A little over 30 days ago something just went off in my head and I knew I had to make a change. I had gained the Quarantine 15 plus some, and I was so tired all the time and disappointed with my body. I want the abs and the energy, and I’m ready to put in the work!
Time for Change- Will Country Heat by Beachbody really work?
Finally opening my Country Heat DVD’s was the best decision that I have ever made for my health and fitness journey. Beachbody’s Country Heat is a program like none other. This program lasts 30 days, so you workout 30 minutes most days (one hour on conditioning days) and you have Sundays off for rest days. Autumn Calabrese is the trainer of Country Heat and many other Beach Body programs. She is a celebrity trainer who has worked with many big-time folks and she also used to compete in fitness competitions.
So yes- Autumn knows what she is doing! She has a fun way of making the workouts feel like they are just a dance. It never feels like you’ve been working out 30+ minutes after it’s over, other than all of the sweat. This program made me actually want to put the DVD in each day and see what new workout we’d be doing. Other workout programs would lose my interest fast- this definitely did not.
They say the scale doesn’t matter, and I must agree. After completing the 30-day program, I have only lost 3lbs, starting at 148lbs and ending at 145lbs. However, my pictures and measurements tell so much more. I lost 4″ around my waist and 1.5″ around my hips. That’s not bad at all for a 30-day workout program with Sundays off! I actually didn’t do a food plan or the Shakeology, but I plan on trying the Shakeology soon as I have heard so many great things about it. Cutting out soda and wine really helped me. I used to drink 2 or 3 glasses of wine almost daily, and I cut that out to maybe a glass once a week or so. My new grown-up beverage of choice is White Claw hard seltzer- low sugar, low calories, and many flavors to choose from. I quit drinking soda cold turkey and now when I try to drink it, it tastes gross. I try to make healthier eating choices and cut out junk food, but I don’t sit and count calories all day or only eat certain things.
If I have a piece of cake, for example, I keep the rest of my day eating healthier choices. I don’t completely deprive myself of treats but I don’t overdo it anymore. Cutting out fast food (for the most part) has also really helped. And drinking lots of water! I also use Lady Boss Lean for my protein shakes, I’ll have those once or twice a day for a snack or postworkout treat. My favorite flavor is cake and it tastes amazing. Lady Boss also has other flavors of Lean and a variety of other workout and performance products geared towards women.
How Much Does It Cost?
Since I had the DVD set, I didn’t have to purchase anything else to do the Country Heat program. However, now Beach Body has everything available online and on their app, called Beach Body On Demand.

Once you have access to Beach Body On Demand, you have access to their entire library of fitness programs and several nutrition programs as well.
I recommend purchasing a Challenge Pack when you first start, you save a lot of money this way. I purchased a challenge pack for my upcoming program. So how the Challenge Packs work: You pick the program that you want to do and each program offers certain materials such as Shakeology, Beach Body Performance, nutrition containers, and so on. And with most challenge packs, you also get access to Beach Body on Demand for a whole year, that’s $100 right off the bat. It’s a win-win.
Beach Body also gives everyone their own coach when you sign up. If you ever need help, advice, or encouragement, just reach out. They also have groups that start programs together and share results and motivate each other. Beach Body really is the complete package.
I would 100% recommend Beach Body’s Country Heat program. Who knew that you could dance your pounds away?! Finding my Country Heat DVD’s and finally starting the program was the best decision that I ever made for my healthy lifestyle.
